This recorded lecture provided an introduction to a Critical Criminology module I delivered in 2014 to final year criminology students. (It is 20 minutes long but please note the content I talk about from 13.30 was not recorded and does form part of this short series).
This lecture was intended as a general introduction to critical criminology and includes my attempt to draw a distinction between those ‘critical criminologies’ which argue for the expansion of criminal justice into new areas and those which are against and seek to go beyond criminology. It also includes a contribution from a Phil Scraton video on YouTube.
